Having diabetes, please avoid eating these dry fruits!!

Many of us eat dry fruits as they would provide us with many nutrients and would improve our health. Various health benefits are that intake of dry fruits would improve our bone strength, prevent certain cancers, help in weight loss, improve memory etc. The bitter fact is that those with diabetes or high blood sugar levels must not eat dry fruits. The reason for this is many dry fruits contain concentrated natural sugars and it would spike the blood sugar levels. In addition, the carbohydrates present in dry fruits could increase the blood sugar levels also.

Various dry fruits which persons with diabetes must avoid are

Raisins intake:

Raisins refers to dry grapes and these are rich in natural sugars. Therefore, those with diabetes must not eat raisins as raisins could spike their blood sugar levels.

Dates intake:

It is known that intake of dates would provide us with many benefits like improved digestion, improved heart health etc. When consumed by diabetic person, dates could cause an increase in the blood sugar level in them as dates are rich in sugars.

Figs intake:

These are soft and pear shaped fruits and intake of figs would provide us with numerous benefits like strong bones, better heart health, improved immune system etc. Those with diabetes must not eat figs as these figs are rich in natural sugars.

Dried mangoes:

Diabetic persons must try to avoid eating dried mangoes too as these are full of sugars. There are chances of increase in the blood sugar levels in these persons if they eat dried mangoes.

Cranberries intake:

Cranberries would provide us with superb benefits like cavities prevention, reduced inflammation, improved digestive health etc. Diabetic persons must not eat cranberries as these fruits have sugars.

Apricots intake:

Known by the names like jardalu, khubani etc, apricots intake would improve heart health, lowers diabetes risk, lowers obesity risk etc. Intake of apricots by diabetic persons could lead to a spike in their blood sugars as apricots are naturally high in sugars.

Dried bananas intake:

Thosese with diabetes must refrain from eating dried bananas that are rich in sugars and carbohydrates etc. These would spike the blood sugar levels in them.

Prunes intake:

It is rich in sugars and hence those with diabetes must not eat prunes as it would lead to a spike in their blood sugars. It must be noted that generally prunes intake would provide many benefits like cholesterol reduction, regulates BP, improved digestive health etc.
