Satellite observations of the Earth provide us with detailed information about the natural environment and allow us to monitor how humans are altering the planet. The information about Earth and other planets in the space allows students to monitor those changes and alterations taking place on the planets. University of Leicester’s MSc in Satellite Data Science helps students gain insights and expertise in data analysis on uptake, use and commercialisation of Earth observation data. To make the students more confident, the course helps the students develop innovative solutions and technical skills through project-based learning.
The University of Leicester is the UK hub of Earth observations research and expertise. The program is designed for graduates who takes interest in understanding the principles of remote sensing during the time of writing computer programming in high performance computing infrastructure.

Entry Requirement:
- A 2:2 degree is required in a relevant subject.
- IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, with at least a score of 6 in all four categories. If your first language is not English, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.
